Election Results 2024 Live: In Jharkhand, Congress and JMM dominate early trends, leaving BJP trailing in major regions.

With 9,254 votes, Congress candidate Sweta Singh leads the race in Bokaro, continuing to lead BJP challenger Biranchi Narayan by 5,861 votes. With 3,610 votes, Congressman Kumar Jaimangal leads the BJP’s Ravindra Kumar Pandey by 173 votes in Bermo.

In Chandanakiyari, Amar Kumar Bauri of the BJP is behind at 3,288 votes, while Uma Kant Rajak of the JMM leads with 5,989 votes. According to Gomia, Yogendra Prasad of JMM has 2,814 votes, while Puja Kumari of JLKM has 5,389 votes.

Early trends are dominated by the Congress and JMM, with the BJP lagging behind in key areas.

According to trends, the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) was leading in 125 seats, while the ruling BJP-led Mahayuti alliance was ahead in 157 of the 288 seats. But at the time, only 150 of the 288 constituencies had trends listed on the Election Commission’s website.

The Mahayuti alliance’s 50 seats were held by the BJP, 27 by the Shiv Sena, and 22 by the NCP, according to data from the Election Commission. Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) held 12 seats in the MVA, the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar faction) held 13 seats, and the Congress held 14 seats.

Officials first verified and counted postal ballots before starting the vote counting process at 8 am in all counting centers. At 8.30 am, the EVM vote count began. Each assembly section is anticipated to undergo at least 20 rounds of counting.

The November 20 elections saw a final voter turnout of 66.05%, which was significantly higher than the 61.1% reported in the 2019 assembly polls.

The Ajit Pawar-led NCP put up candidates in 59 seats, the BJP ran 149 seats, and the Shiv Sena ran 81 seats in the Mahayuti coalition.
